Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Before we start, our readers would love to “get to know you” a bit better. Can you tell us a bit about your background and your childhood backstory?

I was born and raised in New York as a second-generation American, as all four of my grandparents were Italian immigrants. My family has a long history of entrepreneurship and community engagement, which played a role in fueling my passion for ensuring healthcare access for all and, specifically, equal rights for individuals with disabilities. For over 20 years, I have worked closely with Medicare and Medicaid populations, focusing on developing whole-person care solutions that improve outcomes, efficiencies, and equity. I’ve implemented and managed hundreds of initiatives across dozens of Medicaid programs, Medicare, and state departments of developmental disabilities. I’m also an advisor for emerging companies and have served as a mentor in accelerator programs, including Springboard Enterprises, a tech accelerator for female entrepreneurs, and Florida Atlanta University’s Tech Runway, where I mentored the Child Rescue Coalition, a female-led organization that rescues children from abuse.
