Financial Management Services (FMS)
“Financial management services” is just a fancy term for all the things we do to help your self-direction journey go smoothly. Most Medicaid-funded self-direction programs require an FMS provider to act as a middleman between you and them. That’s us!
Services include
Payroll – We process payroll for your caregiver using money from your budget.
Employment tax requirements – we handle all employment-related tax requirements for you, including federal, state, local, and unemployment.
Monthly budget management – we help you keep your spending on track.
Enrollment support – we help you and your caregivers with enrollment and training (as needed).
Customer service – our friendly and professional customer service agents are available five days a week (six in some programs) to help you with any questions.
Service reports – with our reports you’ll always have a clear picture of the services you’ve received.
Third Party Payment
Medicaid usually needs you to use a middleman to make payments on your behalf. We pay for goods and services that help you stay living independently. Depending on your program rules, this could be things like medical equipment or necessary home alterations. We could all use a few less bills to pay.
Services include
Invoice Processing – When you receive goods or services, send the invoice to us, and we’ll get it paid for you.
Compliance – we check that all payments are in line with the rules and regulations of the program, and make sure all taxes are paid.
Payment processing – put your checkbook away, we’re on it. We make sure that your vendors and providers are paid on time.
Record keeping – we keep accurate and up-to-date records of all payments we make for you, so we can give your plan all the reports they need.
Information and Assistance
Before you can start using our handy tool you need to be enrolled in a program, and that can be confusing and frustrating. Don’t sweat it, we’ve got your back. We’re just a phone call or email away and we’ll get you back on track whenever you feel lost. And if you have questions after enrollment, we’ll still be here.

Budgeting support – we help you to get the most bang for your budget bucks.
Employer guidance – being an employer might be new for you, we’ll help you figure it out.
Enrollment assistance – figuring out the what/who/when of enrolling is tricky. We untangle it for you.
Outcome monitoring – we help make sure you’re always working towards your goals.
Housing Assistance Administration
If you sometimes have difficulty keeping up with your rent or mortgage, you aren’t alone. About half of all Americans say that a lack of affordable housing is a major problem where they live. We can help make your living situation more livable.

We’re pretty proud of our software. Our mobile timekeeping app for you and your caregiver has an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 in the app stores. You have access to the tools and information you need, whenever, wherever.

Time4Care™ – when you’re on the go you need an app as mobile as you are. Log time, review, approve, and submit timesheets, and handle electronic visit verification with ease.
BetterOnline™ – fill out, approve, and submit timesheets, complete enrollment paperwork, and run reports
PPL Connect – see if we’re working on a program in your state, and connect with a caregiver if we are. A great way to get started in self-direction!
