2026 Benefits Enrollment: Full-Time Upstate PAs
This page applies to you if you are full-time and your consumer does not live in one of the downstate counties (Bronx, New York, Kings, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, or Westchester).
What this means for you
- If you are currently enrolled in SecureHealth or SecureHealth Plus, your coverage continues automatically on May 1, 2026. No re-enrollment is required and you will have no premium increase and no deductible reset.
- If you are not currently enrolled in a SecureHealth plan, you will have the option to enroll during this special enrollment window at https://boonchapman.benselect.com/pplenroll.
Your choices during the special enrollment window
- If you are enrolled now: Keep your plan (do nothing) or opt out during the window.
- If you are not enrolled: You may choose to enroll in a SecureHealth plan (SecureHealth or SecureHealth Plus).
- You may choose optional insurance through Chubb: Accident, Critical Illness, and Voluntary Life Insurance.
- These optional plans are employee-paid via payroll deduction.
Who helps with enrollment and questions
PPL is working with GSA National to support benefits questions before, during, and after Open Enrollment. You can contact GSA National starting April 15, or schedule a call with them here.
You may see GSA National referenced when reviewing your options or completing enrollment.
If you prefer, you can also contact the PPL HR Hotline for help: 1-833-746-8283.
What to do next
- If you’re comfortable keeping your current coverage, no action is needed.
- If you want to opt out or enroll (if you are not currently enrolled), do so between April 15 and May 15.
- Review the Chubb optional insurance offerings.
Helpful reminders
- Automatic continuation applies only if you are already enrolled in SecureHealth or SecureHealth Plus.
- Optional insurance is employee-paid and can be elected during the April 15 – May 15 window.
