Our “MyWhy” series highlights stories from our PPL employees, sharing the personal motivations behind their commitment to helping others access in-home care through self-direction. Hear directly from the individuals who bring our mission to life, and be sure to check back regularly as new stories are released.

My “why” is my children.

Everything I do is to create a stable, better future for them. I came to PPL during a time when I was looking for growth and direction, and a sense of purpose. What keeps me here is knowing the work I do is helping me build a strong foundation for my family and the life we deserve.

One of the most meaningful realizations in my journey has been discovering my own resilience. Even during stressful and uncertain times, I continued to show up and give my best. That reminded me of my strength and reinforced that this is more than a job or a paycheck. I was given an opportunity to build something steady and meaningful for myself and my children.

As a Registration Specialist on the I-9 Validation Team, I support Personal Assistants by guiding them through the I-9 employment verification process, reviewing and validating eligibility documents, ensuring compliance with federal requirements, and maintaining accurate records that support successful onboarding. I take pride in helping others and knowing my work contributes to a smooth and compliant experience.

I hope my children learn the value of responsibility, consistency, and perseverance. I want them to see that showing up each day, putting effort into your work, and helping others can create opportunities and build character over time.

When I found PPL, I was searching for a new direction in my life. I was looking for purpose, stability, and a path forward. Here, I’ve found a place to grow while creating a better future for me and my family.
