Meet the PPL Behind the Mission
Our “MyWhy” series highlights stories from our PPL employees, sharing the personal motivations behind their commitment to helping others access in-home care through self-direction. Hear directly from the individuals who bring our mission to life, and be sure to check back regularly as new stories are released.
Three Different Roles, One Shared Purpose
This week, we’re hearing from three PPL employees across different roles — proof that no matter where you sit on our team, the mission stays the same.
Rikki B., Registration Specialist
“I love helping people, and the most rewarding part of my job is hearing the gratitude in a Personal Assistant’s or consumer’s voice at the end of a call. Knowing I’ve helped them better understand the process or support a family member is what keeps me motivated. Even when I’m working through complex issues, I look forward to the next call because you never know whose day you might make a little easier.” – Rikki B.

Jasmine E., Support Broker
“The most meaningful part of my work is helping participants and families navigate the Self-Determination Program with confidence. Knowing I can ease someone’s stress, answer their questions, and help them access the services they need is what makes this work so rewarding. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that even small moments of support can have a meaningful impact on someone’s daily life.” – Jasmine E.

Carla G., Senior Support Broker
“I’ve always wanted to work with the public in a meaningful way. I love the work we do. I support the program and am so happy to be here. Knowing my family may one day benefit from self-direction makes the work we do deeply personal, and I’m proud that PPL is helping make that possible.” – Carla G.
